 Saint Chogen was orderd to rebuilt Todaiji Temple from Imperial court in the end of Heian Period. And then,he visited here and looked for good large trees. The Nandaimon-gate and the Nioh-zou statue in Todaiji Temple made by woods of Tokuji. I've never known about it and about him. I can't imagine how to take many big tree from here to Nara!! I felt that people in old times were really great!!!!! 重源上人は、平安時代末期に朝廷から東大寺の再建を命じられ、良い大木を 求めてこの徳地へ来たらしい。現在の東大寺・南大門と仁王像は、徳地産の 木で作られている。そんなこと全く知らなかったし、重源上人のことも全く 知りませんでした。山口の山奥から奈良まで大木を運ぶなんて どんな苦労があったのかも想像できません。昔の人間ってスゴイなぁ・・・。 |

And then,there were old Japanese style house. And a restaurant. I had "Chogen-plate". It looks light,isn't it? But they were very tasty! それから・・・古い日本の家屋などもココには残されていたし、 食事をする店もあった。「重源ご膳」を食べました。 見かけは少なめなんだけど、どれも手が込んだ味で 美味しかった〜〜〜〜。 |
